If he can't play all 82 games, Andris Biedrins wants to play 81.
Biedrins, who had been the lone Warrior without an absence this season, missed Wednesday's game against Oklahoma City, thanks to a sprained left wrist he sustained in Monday's victory over the Wizards - but didn't exactly know it at the time. "That's the funniest thing," Biedrins said. "I felt it a little bit after Monday's game. Nothing major. But it really bothered me at the Tuesday practice. I wasn't able to catch the ball or pass it. It was hurting, so we decided I'll take off tonight. Hopefully, I'll be able to play on Friday."
Friday, LeBron James' Cavaliers make their only 2008-09 visit to Oakland, and Biedrins said, "It's a really important game, especially because we're at home. I want to get out there as soon as possible."
The 6-foot-11 center, whose X-rays apparently showed no major damage, had started the Warriors' first 42 games and collected at least 10 rebounds 25 times. His average of 12 rebounds a game ranks third in the NBA.
