A low-percentage albeit high-volume shooter, who can't do anything else. Scott Skiles had it right Gordon is best suited to be a scorer off the bench.
8. Brad Miller
Slow, slower and slowest and not nearly as physical as he's reputed to be. Whatever success he's achieved is the result of his intelligence. He's such an inferior athlete that Shaq used to feel personally insulted whenever Miller scored against him.
In the wonderful world of the NBA, all that glitters is probably gold-plated.
VOX POPULI
Since you recently identified the top 10 coach-killers, how about listing the top 10 coach-friendly players in the league? Players who every coach would like to work with because of their unselfishness, all-out play, dedication and team-first attitude. Andraz, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Tim Duncan is No. 1 on this list. Not only is he fundamentally sound in every aspect of the game, but he also re-signed with San Antonio for less money than he could have had just to allow the Spurs more salary cap flexibility.
Kevin Garnett for his infectious enthusiasm and willingness to give it all up on defense.
Derek Fisher is a quiet and mature leader, whose positive influence is exercised as much off the court as on the court.
Shane Battier for his eagerness to sacrifice and his top-of-the-line coachability.
Jeff Foster because he knows and accepts his role and has a terrific work ethic.
Ditto for Michael Ruffin.
Pau Gasol's savvy makes him such a quick-learner that he's a joy to coach.
Grant Hill just might be the most mature player in the league. Moreover, the many devastating injuries that have plagued his career make him totally appreciative of being able to participate in every play and every game.
Brandon Roy remains humble and is appreciative of his coach's instructions, even though he's the Blazers franchise player.
Brian Scalabrine is an immensely popular teammate and eagerly does his coach's bidding.
Yao Ming is a coach's dream.
