Golden State Warriors Notes, Quotes 2008-09-22
--Having watched the Warriors re-sign Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins and lure Corey Maggette and Ronny Turiaf in free agency for a total of $186 million, Stephen Jackson is wondering aloud if he isn't worth than $14.9 million over the final two years of his contract. Asked if he were interested in renegotiating the deal, he admitted, "It's definitely something that has to be addressed because of what I do for this team and what I've done since I've been here, bringing this team from one of the bottom teams in the league to a playoff team."

--The Warriors waived backup center Kosta Perovic so that he could join Pamesa Valencia of the Spanish League. The 38th overall pick of the 2006 draft, Perovic joined the Warriors last season and got into seven games, totaling 10 points and 13 rebounds.

--The Warriors already have padded their training-camp roster with the signing of three players: guard DeMarcus Nelson, swingman Dion Dowell and forward Rob Kurz. Nelson is particularly interesting to San Francisco Bay Area fans in that he still holds the California state prep scoring record of 3,462 points, set at Vallejo High in the North Bay. He went on to play at Duke.

--The Warriors announced that 76 of their 82 regular-season games will be televised, including six nationally.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Losing B.D. hurt me. That's my boy -- my brother more than my teammate." -- Warriors swingman Stephen Jackson, on watching Baron Davis opt out of the final year of his Golden State contract in order to join the Clippers.
