--The Warriors shot 7-for-19 from the field in the fourth quarter of Friday's loss at Toronto after going 5-for-21 in the final period of Wednesday's loss to New Orleans. They've averaged 21.0 points in those fourth quarters after having averaged 26.3 in the first three periods of those games.
--From the time they led 93-88 with 3:30 left in regulation until they trailed 104-96 in the final minute of overtime, the Warriors missed 15 of 16 shots. The breakdown: Corey Maggette 0-for-6, Al Harrington 1-for-5, Stephen Jackson 0-for-4, Kelenna Azubuike 0-for-1. --Starting 0-2 without a frontline player is nothing new to the Warriors. They opened 0-6 last season while Jackson was on suspension. This season, they are without G Monta Ellis, out up to two months following ankle surgery.
--The Warriors also opened with a home loss (Utah) and then a road defeat (L.A. Clippers) last year.
--The Warriors' only hoop in the final 3:30 of regulation appeared to be a game-winner. Following an offensive rebound, Harrington buried a three-pointer with 22 seconds remaining to put Golden State up 96-94.
--In his first two games since disclosing he approached the Warriors about the possibility of a trade just days earlier, Harrington has gotten a total of 31 shots. He had complained about being underutilized by coach Don Nelson in his trade request.
--The Warriors announced before the game they have exercised the third-year contact options on Brandan Wright and Marco Belinelli, but chose not to do so for Marcus Williams' fourth season.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "If Coach asks me to play big once again, I would love to. That's what I do. I enjoy being out there on the basketball court." -- Ronny Turiaf, a forward most of his career with the Lakers who has played a majority of his minutes as a center for the Warriors.
