ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard C.J. Watson, shooting guard Kelenna Azubuike, small forward Stephen Jackson, power forward Brandan Wright, center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard Marcus Williams, guard DeMarcus Nelson, guard Marco Belinelli, guard/forward Anthony Morrow, forward Anthony Randolph, forward Rob Kurz, center Ronny Turiaf.
PLAYER NOTES: --C Andris Biedrins had his seventh consecutive double-double (16 points, 18 rebounds) in Sunday's loss at Sacramento, but the Kings harassed him into arguably his worst offensive performance of the season. He hit fewer than half his shots (6 of 14) for just the second time this season and committed five turnovers after giving the ball away just 10 times in the first six games.
--G Kelenna Azubuike has been productive no matter where Don Nelson has used him this season. Making his second consecutive start in Corey Maggette's absence, the NBA Developmental League graduate shot 6-for-12 and had 12 points. He has scored in double figures in six of the Warriors' seven games, tallying nine points the other time.
--G-F Anthony Morrow has yet to play before the home fans, but he did get into his first professional game in Northern California and made the most of it. The undrafted bomber from Georgia Tech demonstrated the form that made him the star of the Warriors' summer-league teams, hitting 1 of 2 3-point attempts and 4 of 6 shots overall en route to nine points in his NBA debut.
--F Rob Kurz made his NBA debut, but it was far less memorable. The Notre Dame product missed five of his six shots and totaled only two rebounds in 23 minutes.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Monta Ellis (ankle) is likely to miss the first two months of the season after surgery required to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for having violated terms of his contract.
--F Corey Maggette (hamstring) sat out a third consecutive game Sunday because of a sore left hamstring. The team clearly is treating the injury with caution, and it's questionable whether he will return Tuesday when Golden State hosts Minnesota.
--F Al Harrington (back), seeing his effectiveness (and minutes) shrink after a solid start to the season, claims his back is bothering him, and he just might sit out until the Warriors either trade him (as he desires) or announce they cannot find a trade partner (which is more likely). He has missed two consecutive games, with no indication he's going to return anytime soon.
