ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard C.J. Watson, Shooting guard Kelenna Azubuike, Small forward Corey Maggette, Power forward Stephen Jackson, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard DeMarcus Nelson, Guard Marcus Williams, Guard/Forward Anthony Morrow, Forward Brandan Wright, Center Ronny Turiaf. PLAYER NOTES:
--C Andris Biedrins is now 9-for-9 this season in double-doubles after recording 17 points and 19 rebounds in Thursday's home loss to the Pistons. The fourth-year center has totaled 15 or more rebounds four times this year after doing it just 12 times all last season.
--F Stephen Jackson had nine assists in the game, leading the team in that category for the eighth time in nine outings. He started the game at power forward.
--G C.J. Watson had a career-high 17 points. His previous career best had been 14, set last week against Denver.
--F Corey Maggette returned from a four-game absence due to a strained hamstring. He missed five of his seven shots, but used nine free throws to account for a majority of his 13 points in 28 minutes.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Monta Ellis (ankle) is likely to miss the first two months of the season after surgery required to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for violating terms of his contract.
--F Corey Maggette (hamstring) played 28 minutes Thursday after missing the previous four games. He complained afterward about a lack of explosion in his leg, but said the hamstring was now painless and he just needed to work himself back into shape.
--F Al Harrington (back), seeing his effectiveness (and minutes) shrink after a solid start to the season, claims his back is bothering him and just might sit out until the Warriors either trade him (as he desires) or announce they cannot find a trade partner (which is more likely). He has missed four games in a row, with no indication he's going to return anytime this month.
