Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-18

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-18
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Stephen Jackson, Shooting guard Anthony Morrow, Small forward Kelenna Azubuike, Power forward Corey Maggette, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard Marcus Williams, Guard Anthony Morrow, Forward Ronny Turiaf, Forward Anthony Randolph, Guard C.J. Watson, Forward Brandan Wright.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Brandan Wright was a DNP-CD against the Clippers on Saturday, one game after having a solid 17-minute stint against Detroit on Thursday.

--G DeMarcus Nelson was sent to the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League. The move was somewhat unexpected because Nelson was the starting point guard for the Warriors on opening night.

--F Richard Hendrix was sent to the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League. Hendrix was the Warriors' second-round draft pick.

--G/F Stephen Jackson went 7-for-19 from the field against the Clippers and is now shooting just 38.1 percent from the floor for the season. Jackson has had just one game this season in which he has made at least half of his shots.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Monta Ellis (ankle) is likely to miss the first two months of the season after surgery required to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for violating terms of his contract.

--F Al Harrington (back), seeing his effectiveness (and minutes) shrink after a solid start to the season, claims his back is bothering him and just might sit out until the Warriors either trade him (as he desires) or announce they cannot find a trade partner (which is more likely). He has missed five games in a row, with no indication he's going to return anytime this month.
