Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-23

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-23
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard C.J. Watson, Shooting guard Anthony Morrow, Small forward Corey Maggette, Power forward Stephen Jackson, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard Marcus Williams, Guard Marco Belinelli, Forward Brandan Wright, Forward Anthony Randolph, Center Ronny Turiaf.

PLAYER NOTES:

--C Andris Biedrins had 23 points in the Warriors' home loss to the Bulls on Friday. It was his third 20-plus scoring night of the season after he reached that plateau just five times all of last year. He also had 10 rebounds, giving him 11 double-doubles in the Warriors' 12 games.

--F Stephen Jackson led the Warriors with 32 points, connecting on a pair of three-pointers along the way. A Warrior for less than two full seasons, Jackson already has moved into eighth place in three-pointers made with 263. Friday, he moved past Rod Higgins (262) on the club's all-time list.

--F Anthony Randolph played for just the sixth time in 12 games and continued his penchant for making things happen. The rookie had 10 points and nine rebounds in just 13 minutes, giving him 28 points and 24 rebounds in 62 minutes this season.

--F Corey Maggette used 9-for-11 accuracy from the free-throw line as a foundation for his 24 points. It was the fourth time this season Maggette has gotten to the line 10 or more times in a game.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Monta Ellis (ankle) is walking around without a noticeable limp, yet he is likely to miss the first two months of the season following surgery required to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for having violated terms of his contract.

--G/F Kelenna Azubuike (knee) couldn't go Friday with what was labeled as a sprained knee. It's not considered a serious injury. He and point guard C.J. Watson are the guys expected to lose the most minutes after Jamal Crawford joins the club Tuesday.
