Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-27

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-27
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jamal Crawford, Shooting guard Stephen Jackson, Small forward Corey Maggette, Power forward Brandan Wright, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Guard-Forward Kelenna Azubuike, Forward Rob Kurz, Forward Anthony Randolph, Forward Ronny Turiaf.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Jamal Crawford did a lot more shooting in his second game as a Warrior than in his Golden State debut, firing up 17 shots in Wednesday's loss at Boston, making five. He took only 10 shots Tuesday at Washington.

--F Corey Maggette scored a season-best 32 points. His previous high as a Warrior had come on opening night, when he dropped in 27 on the Hornets. He has scored 20 or more points in three of his last five games and averaged 20.0 points over that stretch despite a seven-point night in the trip opener at Philadelphia.

--C Andris Biedrins had nine rebounds, meaning he has failed to reach double-figures in boards in four of the last five games after having reached that mark in each of the season's first 10 contests.

--F Ronny Turiaf blocked five shots in 22 minutes off the bench. The first-year Warrior has played more than 20 minutes in five games this season and averaged 4.4 blocks on those nights.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Monta Ellis (ankle) is walking around without a noticeable limp, yet he is likely to miss the first two months of the season following surgery required to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for having violated terms of his contract.
