Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-29

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-11-29
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jamal Crawford, shooting guard Stephen Jackson, small forward Corey Maggette, power forward Brandan Wright, center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, guard Marco Belinelli, guard Anthony Morrow, guard/forward Kelenna Azubuike, forward Rob Kurz, forward Anthony Randolph, forward Ronny Turiaf.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Jamal Crawford showed some signs of warming up from behind the 3-point line in Friday's loss at Cleveland. He's made progress percentagewise in his three games as a Warrior, going 1-for-5, then 2-for-8, then 2-for-6.

--G Stephen Jackson suffered through his worst shooting night of the season, going 2-for-11. It was the fourth time this year he's failed to make at least one-third of his shots in a game.

--F Anthony Randolph continued to show a propensity for shooting the ball, firing up nine shots in 17 minutes. The rookie has now taken 65 shots in his 141 NBA minutes.

--G C.J. Watson led the Warriors in scoring with 17 points of the bench, equalling his season-high set previously against Detroit on Nov. 13. Despite recently losing his starting spot, Watson has scored in double figures in six of his last eight games.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Monta Ellis (ankle) is progressing toward a return late this month after having originally been projected to the first two months of the season following surgery to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for having violated terms of his contract.
