Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-12-04

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-12-04
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jamal Crawford, Shooting guard Stephen Jackson, Small forward Corey Maggette, Power forward Brandan Wright, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Forward Anthony Randolph, Forward Ronny Turiaf.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Jamal Crawford made his home debut as a Warrior on Monday and responded with a 40-point explosion in the overtime loss to the Heat. It was the seventh time in his career he's scored 40 or more points in a game. He went 14-for-16 from the free-throw line, recording career highs in attempts and makes. He also recorded a four-point play in the second quarter, the ninth of his career.

--F Corey Maggette did a majority of his scoring on a 29-point night from the foul line, where he went 17-for-18. It was the sixth time this season he's gotten to the line at least 10 times.

--F Ronny Turiaf blocked five shots in 18 minutes. He now has blocked at least one shot in 24 consecutive games, dating back to last season with the Lakers.

--C Andris Biedrins ended a five-game double-double drought in a big way with 17 points and 15 rebounds. The double-double was the 66th of his career.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Monta Ellis (ankle) is progressing toward a return late this month after having originally been projected to miss at least the first two months of the season following surgery to repair the damage suffered in a moped accident. The Warriors have suspended Ellis for the first 26 games (through Dec. 17) of the regular season for having violated terms of his contract.

--F Stephen Jackson (wrist) was back in action -- 49 minutes of it, in fact -- after sitting out Saturday's trip finale in New York to rest an aching wrist.
