Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-11-06

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-11-06ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Stephen Curry, Shooting guard Monta Ellis, Small forward Kelenna Azubuike, Power forward Stephen Jackson, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard Anthony Morrow, Forward Corey Maggette, Forward Anthony Randolph, Center Mikki Moore.

--G Monta Ellis had 12 assists to go with 24 points in the Warriors' win over Memphis on Wednesday. The double-figure assist total was just the second of Ellis' career. His career-best came Feb. 24, 2007, against the Clippers when he had 13. Ellis had totaled eight assists in the Warriors' first two games. The double-double was the ninth of his career.

--F Corey Maggette made his first significant offensive contribution of the season, hitting nine of his 17 shots after having gone 5-for-21 in the first two games. His 20-point night was one better than his combined total in the two opening losses.

--G Anthony Morrow finally demonstrated the long-distance shooting stroke that helped him record the league's best three-point shooting percentage last season. After starting the season 1-for-6 from beyond the arc, Morrow buried four in a row Wednesday to account for half his 24-point total. The 20-plus scoring effort was just the seventh of Morrow's career.

--F Anthony Randolph played only seven minutes off the bench after having started the previous game. Warriors coach Don Nelson announced earlier in the week he would try to pick favorable matchups for Randolph. The second-year forward was matched up with Memphis backup center Hasheem Thabeet for a majority of his playing time Wednesday.

--F Brandan Wright (torn labrum) underwent surgery Oct. 9. His recovery time is estimated to be six months, so there's a good chance he won't play at all in 2009-10.

--C Ronny Turiaf (sprained left knee) did not play Wednesday after suffering the injury in the fourth quarter of Friday's loss at Phoenix. An MRI revealed no damage and he could return within a week.

--F Devean George (sore left knee) has yet to see action in the regular season. His injury is not considered serious.
