Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-11-09

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-11-09ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Stephen Curry, Shooting guard Monta Ellis, Small forward Kelenna Azubuike, Power forward Stephen Jackson, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Guard Acie Law, Guard Anthony Morrow, Forward Corey Maggette, Forward Anthony Randolph, Center Mikki Moore.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Stephen Curry finished with a respectable nine points and six assists in Sunday's loss at Sacramento, but he was far less effective than those numbers would indicate. He hit both his shots and had five assists during fourth-quarter garbage time. Before that, he'd gone 2-for-6 with one assist and four turnovers.

--C Andris Biedrins battled foul trouble for the fourth time this season, getting nailed with two in the first 6:49 of the game. Biedrins totaled 14 fouls in his first three games, before sitting out Friday's loss to the Clippers with a sore back.

--F Anthony Randolph took advantage of meaningless late-game minutes to pad his scoring total for a second consecutive game. He had 10 of his 14 points in the final 7:28 Sunday, after pouring in nine of his 13 against Clippers reserves in the fourth quarter of Friday's blowout.

--F Stephen Jackson led the Warriors with 21 points but was generally ineffective for the fifth consecutive time this season. He missed more than half his shots (nine of 16) for the fifth straight time and contributed only two rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Brandan Wright (torn labrum) underwent surgery Oct. 9. His recovery time is estimated to be six months, so there's a good chance he won't play at all in 2009-10.

--C Andris Biedrins (sore back) returned after a one-game absence, started and played 22 minutes.

--C Ronny Turiaf (sprained left knee) missed a third consecutive game after suffering the injury Oct. 30. An MRI revealed no damage and he should return this week.

--F Devean George (sore left knee) has yet to see action in the regular season. His injury is not considered serious.
