Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-02-17

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-02-17
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jamal Crawford, Shooting guard Monta Ellis, Small forward Stephen Jackson, Power forward Kelenna Azubuike, Center Ronny Turiaf. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Forward Corey Maggette, Forward Anthony Randolph.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Monta Ellis hit his three biggest hoops of the season in Thursday's 105-98 home win over the Trail Blazers. Capping a 20-point night, just his second since returning to action on Jan. 23, Ellis rescued a team that had missed seven of its previous nine shots by scoring from the perimeter on three consecutive possessions after Portland had closed the gap to five with almost three minutes remaining.

--F Corey Maggette led the Warriors with 24 points off the bench. The first-year Warrior is the NBA's leading scorer as a reserve, averaging 20.6 points in his 14 non-starts. He has led Warriors backups in scoring in each of the last 14 games.

--F Stephen Jackson made all eight of his free throws during a 20-point night, making him 21-for-21 over his last two games. The Warriors went 39-for-43 at the line Thursday, outscoring the Trail Blazers there by 25 points.

--C Ronny Turiaf recorded his first double-double of the season -- and just the third of his career -- with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--C Andris Biedrins (ankle) hopes to be back immediately following the All-Star break. He sprained his right ankle Feb. 6 at Phoenix. X-rays were negative.

--F Brandan Wright (shoulder) is out until at least March 1 as he recovers from a partially dislocated left shoulder suffered Jan. 7 against the Lakers.

--G Marco Belinelli (ankle) will return to practice immediately following the All-Star break and hopes to return to game action later in the week. He has been out since bruising his right ankle Jan. 11 against the Pacers.
