ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Jamal Crawford, Shooting guard Marco Belinelli, Small forward Kelenna Azubuike, Power forward Stephen Jackson, Center Ronny Turiaf. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Guard Anthony Morrow, Forward Corey Maggette, Forward Anthony Randolph, Center Andris Biedrins.
PLAYER NOTES: --C Andris Biedrins had four points, four rebounds and two blocked shots in 17 minutes off the bench in his return from a five-game absence, but he was not nearly as effective as those numbers might indicate. The Warriors were outscored by 16 points when their regular starting center was on the floor, whereas they outscored the Clippers by three with him on the bench. Biedrins hadn't played since injuring his ankle Feb. 6 against Phoenix.
--G Marco Belinelli started in Monta Ellis' spot at shooting guard, but only played 18 minutes despite clearly being the club's best ball distributor while he was on the floor. He had a team-high five assists during his brief performance, the most he's had in a game since logging six against the Timberwolves on Jan. 2.
--G Jamal Crawford missed four of his five 3-point attempts, contributing to one of the Warriors' greatest shortcomings in the game. They missed 15 of their 21 3s and were outscored 39-18 by the Clippers from beyond the arc.
--F Corey Maggette had a miserable game against his old mates, missing 9-of-13 shots and finishing with just 10 points. For one of the few times this season, he was outscored by a fellow reserve -- C.J. Watson, who finished with 16.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Monta Ellis (ankle) sat out Monday against the Clippers and already has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Bobcats and Sunday's against the Jazz in hopes recurring pain in his surgically repaired left ankle will significantly lessen or go away all together. He could miss as much as two weeks.
--C Andris Biedrins (ankle) played 17 minutes off the bench Monday as the Warriors took a cautious approach to his return from a sprained ankle suffered before the All-Star break. He'd missed five consecutive games.
--F Brandan Wright (shoulder) is close to returning to practice, but remains out until at least March 1 as he recovers from a partially dislocated left shoulder suffered Jan. 7 against the Lakers.
