Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-03-06

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-03-06
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Marco Belinelli, Shooting guard Jamal Crawford, Small forward Stephen Jackson, Power forward Anthony Randolph, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Guard Anthony Morrow, Forward Corey Maggette, Forward Jermareo Davidson, Forward Rob Kurz, Center Ronny Turiaf.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Anthony Randolph started in place of injured Kelenna Azubuike in Wednesday's loss at Chicago and led the Warriors in rebounding with 10 despite playing just 14 minutes. It was the rookie's third double-figure rebounding outing, his second when playing 14 or fewer minutes.

--F Corey Maggette had his second-worst shooting night since December, missing 11 of his 16 shots. He had an even worse night (4-for-13) on Feb. 23 against the Clippers.

--F Stephen Jackson led the Warriors with 19 points. He also had six of the club's 13 total assists. Since returning from a hamstring injury on Jan. 16, he has recorded five or more assists in all but two games.

--G Anthony Morrow fired up nine shots in 19 minutes. He made only three one night after going 6-for-10 in 20 minutes at Minnesota.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Monta Ellis (ankle) has not been with the team on the first two games of its five-day, four-game trip while tending to a family emergency in Jackson, Miss. He might join the club Friday in Detroit, but it's unlikely he would return to action after having sat out five consecutive games because of recurring pain in his surgically repaired left ankle.

--F Brandan Wright (shoulder) could return to practice when the Warriors return home from their trip Sunday. For the time being, he remains out as he recovers from a partially dislocated left shoulder suffered Jan. 7 against the Lakers.

--F Kelenna Azubuike (back) was scratched from Wednesday's starting lineup with soreness in his back one day after playing 24 minutes at Minnesota. He might return Friday at Detroit.

--C Ronny Turiaf (sick) sat out Tuesday's game, then struggled through 14 minutes Wednesday. Thursday's day off should help him be ready for a longer stint Friday.
