Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-03-10

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2009-03-10
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Marco Belinelli, Shooting guard Jamal Crawford, Small forward Stephen Jackson, Power forward Anthony Randolph, Center Ronny Turiaf. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Guard Anthony Morrow, Forward Corey Maggette, Forward Jermareo Davidson.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Stephen Jackson nearly had a triple-double in Saturday's loss at Milwaukee, but not the one you'd want. His 23 points and 11 assists were mixed in with seven turnovers, one shy of his season high established back in November against the Bulls.

--G Jamal Crawford hit six 3-pointers to account for more than half of his team-high 32 points. He entered the game in a slump from beyond the arc, having missed 20 of 26 in his previous seven games. The Oakland Tribune reported Saturday that the first-year Warrior has been told by Don Nelson that he will be traded if he doesn't exercise the opt-out clause in his contract this June.

--F Anthony Randolph had nearly as many turnovers (five) and fouls (five) as points (five) and rebounds (eight) one night after having had one of the best games of his young career (17 points, eight rebounds) at Detroit.

--C Ronny Turiaf made all five of his shots to raise his shooting percentage in March to 66.7. He's been on quite a roll since Jan. 1, shooting 51.4 percent in January and 59.4 percent in February.

MEDICAL WATCH:

G Monta Ellis (ankle) is expected to rejoin the Warriors for their home game against the Nets on Wednesday. He was not with the team on its five-day, four-game trip while tending to a family emergency in Jackson, Miss.

--F Brandan Wright (shoulder) probably will return to practice this week. He hasn't played since partially dislocating his left shoulder Jan. 7 against the Lakers.

--F Kelenna Azubuike (back) has missed three consecutive games with soreness in his back. He could be ready to go against the Nets.

--F Stephen Jackson (hamstring) took Friday off to rest a hamstring he says has bothered him for quite some time, then returned to play 45 minutes and score 23 points Saturday at Milwaukee.

--F Corey Maggette (back) also couldn't go at Detroit but seemed fine in Milwaukee, pouring in 22 points off the bench in 37 minutes.

--C Andris Biedrins (personal matter) left the team Thursday to tend to a family matter. He will rejoin the club at home this week.
