Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-03-31

Golden State Warriors Roster Report 2008-03-31
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Baron Davis, Shooting guard Monta Ellis, Small forward Stephen Jackson, Power forward Al Harrington, Center Andris Biedrins. Bench -- Guard C.J. Watson, Guard Kelenna Azubuike, Forward Matt Barnes, Forward Austin Croshere.

PLAYER NOTES:

--Point guard Baron Davis contributed 21 points to the Warriors' home win Sunday over the Mavericks, but he missed six of his eight three-point attempts. Davis has now chucked up at least five three-pointer attempts in 11 consecutive games, making at least half of his attempts just once in that stretch.

--Shooting guard Monta Ellis led the Warriors with 30 points, his 11th game this season with 30 or more. He shot 13-for-26 after having gone 9-for-25 and totaling 25 points in two earlier losses to the Mavericks.

--Backup guard Kelenna Azubuike was a key contributor off the bench, chipping in 15 points and seven rebounds in 44 minutes. The D-League graduate has played 40 or more minutes in four games this season -- all against quality opponents -- and come up big each time. Before Sunday's outstanding effort, he'd had 27 points in 43 minutes in an earlier game against Dallas, 16 in 48 minutes against the Pistons and 16 in 44 minutes against the Spurs.

--Center Andris Biedrins followed up a 17-point, 17-rebound performance Saturday in Denver with a 16-point, 14-rebound double-double against the Mavericks. The back-to-back was his best two-game sequence since combining for 34 points and 36 rebounds in consecutive games against the Pistons and Clippers in November.
