Jeff Green scored 21 points, and James Harden had a career-high 26 points to lead the Thunder to a 104-88 win over Golden State on Monday night at the Ford Center. Green added 13 rebounds and notched his fourth double-double by halftime to help the Thunder bounce back from Friday's 18-point home loss to Boston and improve to 11-9. With the win, Oklahoma City closed its five-game homestand with a 3-2 record before heading on the road for a one-game trip at Memphis on Friday. Harden, who made a career-high 14 free throws on 13 attempts, combined with Green to make up for slow starts offensively by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.
Durant and Westbrook combined for 11 points on just 5-for-20 shooting in the first half. But Durant went on to score 22 second-half points to finish with a team-high 28, and Westbrook had 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Thunder overcame 19 turnovers, which the Warriors converted into 21 points. Oklahoma City, however, out-rebounded Golden State by 20 and, led by Harden, made 11 more free throws on 13 more attempts.
The Thunder refused to play into the Warriors' fast-paced style of play and held Golden State to a season-low in points. The Warriors, who entered the game averaging 109.8 points, were held under 100 points for only the fifth time this season.
Monta Ellis scored a game-high 31 points for Golden State but needed 28 shots. Warriors rookie Stephen Curry had 22 points. Golden State fell to 6-14, losing its fourth straight and sixth of the last seven.
