Jordan Hill's first solo in predraft workouts
Jordan Hill says he has his draft-day suit picked out.

He's just not quite ready to announce the brand, style or color that might connect him with a certain NBA team. In fairness, Hill simply doesn't know what team will choose him.

Once considered a sure-fire, top-five pick in the June 25 NBA draft, Hill has started to fall into the range of 6-through-10. His first individual workout was Friday with the Warriors - who own the seventh pick - but they are expected to pick a point guard.

"I really don't care about that, man," Hill said. "What you read are what people who aren't around think. They're not with the coaches or the GMs or with the people who make the decisions.

"It sounds like I'm going to drop, but that has more to do with the teams drafting than it has to do with my skills."

Hill is a 6-foot-10 1/4, 232-pounder with the agility to move around the basket and the skills to shoot from at least 18 feet. He has the desire to block shots, the desire to rebound and the desire to get better - as proven by his marked improvement at Arizona from his freshman to sophomore and his sophomore to junior years.

The question is how that relates to the Warriors . Hill said he has workouts scheduled for New York, Washington and Memphis - all places he, on the surface, would fit better as a back-to-the-basket power forward.

"Maybe, but I showed my left hand, my mid-range game and my footwork, and another thing I showed is how well I run the floor," Hill said. "I've improved more and more, and I'm very coachable.

"I've still got lots of room to grow, and I'm waiting for a team to pick me up and help me develop."

GO CAMPING: Warriors youth camps consisting of 14 sessions and as many locations will begin Monday in Sonoma and Alameda. Go to Warriors.com or call 510 986-5310 for details about camps through Aug. 14.
