Rookie Anthony Morrow has his shot now that Marco Belinelli is injured, but actually getting his shot is what has coach Don Nelson concerned.
Though Morrow leads the Warriors in three-point percentage .467 and is one of their best perimeter shooters, Nelson says Morrow's attempts are limited by the player's own positioning. "We're trying to get him to move more. Move, cut, screen, use screens," Nelson said. "It's not easy for him. ... He just never gets open and that's his fault."
Jackson targets Friday: Stephen Jackson appears set for the early return he promised when he first strained his right hamstring against the Lakers Jan. 7.
Jackson, who was estimated to miss two to four weeks, is eyeing Friday's home game against Atlanta for his comeback. Jackson hasn't practiced with the team yet, but he worked out against Jamal Crawford following Wednesday morning's shootaround.
Three spree: Nelson wasn't surprised that Orlando set an NBA record with 23 three-pointers against the Kings on Tuesday.
"I said when we played them, they were the best team we've played," Nelson said of the Magic, which swept the season series from the Warriors.
"Of course, you got to come off those shooters because they have a dominant big man" in Dwight Howard .
Briefly: Corey Maggette 's move to sixth man is being temporarily shelved. "I think when Monta Ellis gets back and we get a full roster, I like him as a sixth man," Nelson said. "But with all the injuries and everything else, we're mixing it up." ... Expect the Warriors to try to get anything they can for point guard Marcus Williams before February's trade deadline. Asked if Williams was an option now that Belinelli is injured, Nelson said "I wouldn't think so."
