Sports digest: Warriors re-sign guard Watson The Warriors have re-signed restricted free agent guard C.J. Watson.

The team did not announce the terms of the deal Wednesday. Watson appeared in 77 games last season, starting 18 for the Warriors . He averaged 9.5 points and 2.7 assists per game.

Watson joined the Warriors in January 2008, called up from the NBA Development League. He enters this season as the team's third point guard, behind Monta Ellis and rookie Stephen Curry.

The Memphis Grizzlies confirmed they have agreed in principle to a contract with Allen Iverson, hours after the guard tweeted he was heading to Memphis. The team scheduled a news conference today.

The New Orleans Hornets agreed to trade reserve point guard Antonio Daniels and a 2014 second-round draft pick to Minnesota for forward Darius Songaila and guard Bobby Brown.

Alabama coach Nick Saban received a three-year contract extension that will reward him richly if he sticks around for the next nine seasons. With three completion bonuses totaling $5 million if he is still the coach through 2011, 2014 and 2017, the contract would be worth $42.35 million, or about $4.7 million annually.
