It doesn't help when power forward David West reserves almost all of his power for offense, and the Hornets' brass has done little to upgrade the roster on the wings.

Plenty of wingmen are working for the Golden State Warriors (two wins in their first seven games), but we're still awaiting the anticipated eruption of second-year four man Anthony Randolph. Thus far, Randolph is averaging 12 points and six rebounds, while making 44 percent of his shots. He did wrangle a double-double in Wednesday's loss to Indiana, but he needed 20 shots to manage 17 points.

With all of those offensive rebounds available thanks to the league's fastest-playing offense, Randolph could get about 10 points per game on put-backs alone.

Someone should remind the Warriors that a playoff run requires much more than the running part.
