NBA CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: Was selected by Charlotte in the First Round of the 2007 NBA Draft (eighth overall)…Was acquired by Golden State on June 28, 2007, in a draft-night trade in exchange for Jason Richardson and the draft rights to Jermareo Davidson (36th overall).

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: Was an early entry candidate for the 2007 NBA Draft after playing one season at the University of North Carolina...Appeared in 37 games (all starts), averaging 14.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.00 assist and 1.76 blocks per game, while shooting 64.6% (228-353 FG) from the field...Was named Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year and earned All-ACC Second Team honors...His .646 field goal percentage led the ACC and was the best ever by an ACC freshman...Was named MVP of the ACC Tournament, becoming just the fifth freshman in conference history to win the award...Was named to the NCAA All-East Regional Team after averaging 12.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in four Tournament contests...Led the team in blocks (65, 6th in ACC), while finishing 2nd on the team in scoring (14.7 ppg, 13th in ACC) and rebounding (6.2 rpg, 14th in ACC)...Recorded season-high 24 points vs. NC State and scored 20-or-more points eight times.
